DEATH WORSHIP returns with a new release. From the very beginning I
really enjoyed this new project by Ryan Förster, with the collaboration of J.
Read on session percussion, and "Nocturnal Grave Desecrater and Black
Winds" on guitars and bass.
A demo version of the debut EP "Extermination Mass" was released last year, so I was eager
and curious to listen to the new stuff.
"End Times" is the title of the new EP, (it seems that we will
have to wait for the full-length). I was
expecting the same violent darkness from the debut and after listening to the
new track it didn´t disappoint.
"The poisoned Chalice" is the track unveiled for those who
expect the sonic darkness of the debut, we all may be satisfied, the essence
remains. Raw sound, violent and fast, with a very good "slow and morbid”
middle section. If the rest of the
songs follow the same level of intensity and aggression will be another great
EP.
"End times" will be released on February 15th through Nuclear War Now!
1349 have released a new single titled "Dødskamp". The song is available on all digital platforms and on 10"vinyl with the track "Atomic Chapel (live)" (pre-order here) released by Season Of Mist. The track was comissioned Innovation Norway, Visit Norway and Munch Museum, who asked four Norwegian artist within four different genres of music to interpret their angle on a freely selected work by the famous painter Edvard Munch. "Dødskamp"also serves as a preview of what will come later, as 1349 will release a new full-length later this year.
Two
tracks by BEASTIALITY were suprprisingly revealed recently. The
tracks belong to an unreleased session recording from 2017 and were shared by the unnoficial facebook (fan) page and youtube.
Both tracks are cool cover versions and I found them very interesting and with a good sound.
"Deathfuck
Bizarre" was wirten by Morbid Insulter, wich is the former band of
Beastiality´s guitarist Heinrich. The track was originally released on Morbid
Insulter´s 2005 debut demo "Strike From The Grave".
The
other track "Penis Metal" was originally writen by the chilean band
Hades Archer, and released on the band´s first EP "Penis Metal"
released on 2008.
Both
tracks has that good old-school vibe and were recorded and performed raw, fast
and filthy, qualities that BEASTIALITY already showed on the great 2017 debut
full-lenght "Worshippers Of Unearthly Perversions".
CANDLEMASS revealed a brand new track taken from the band´s upcoming 12th album "The Door To Doom", to be released next February 22nd. The second track revealed is "Astorolus - The Great Octopus", which features a guest guitar solo by none other than Tony Iommy.
Awesome! Not only because "Lords Of The Permafrost" marks the return of USURPER after a 14 year hiatus, but also because it sounds fucking awesome!.
The band and Soulseller Records premiered a lyric video of the album´s title track, and revealed release date and details of the album.
In a short press release, shared by Soulseller Records page, the band states: "After a 14 year
hiatus, Usurper are proud to return with our sixth full length album entitled,
“Lords of the Permafrost”. Back when we formed in 1993, we had the goal to
create heavy, memorable songs with the anthemic quality of traditional Heavy
Metal, combined with the heaviness of death metal, the fury of thrash metal,
the atmosphere of black metal and the straight-forward, ass-kicking of 70’s
Hard Rock…. 25 years later, we feel we have stayed true to our original
objective and have recorded the quintessential Usurper album. Lyrically these
songs explore topics such as monster folklore, the paranormal and other obscure
tales, all while being delivered with a lethal dose of Heavy Metal bravado.
Usurper never have, and never will chase trends. We have only returned to bring
our next chapter of metal to the Worldwide Warriors of Iron and Rust, and kick
maximum ass!”
"Lords Of The Permafrost" will be released on 22nd March on Vinyl, CD and digital versions, pre-orders will star third week of February.

A few days later after the announcement of OPPROBRIUM´s upcoming album "The Fallen Entities", the band unveiled the first advance track "Wicked Mysterious Events". A fierce, violent and powerfull track. It sounds heavy and undoubtedly 100% Old School! A great song that leaves you wanting more.
DIOIVO´s debut full-length is finally out through the Spanish pagan black folk metal label Darkwoods. Through the brand new track unveiled, "Deus De Cristal", it is perfectly clear that the sound achieved shows the great evolution of the band and certainly does justice to the strength and talent of this galician duo.
